Programs under the Maruti Suzuki Innovation umbrella are designed to provide a one-of-a-kind experience to the participants. Divided into five phases, these programs allow startups to showcase their capabilities, receive guidance from subject matter experts, and co-create solutions with Maruti Suzuki for the automotive industry.

Maruti Suzuki Innovation is an initiative started with an aim to drive open innovation by collaborating with startups and providing them with mentorship as well as access to Maruti Suzuki’s vast testbed and extensive domain expertise.
How does Maruti Suzuki Innovation Work?
The program is divided into five phases that allow participants to showcase their capabilities. Post initial screening, startups get access to MS Innovations ecosystem to showcase a board room solution to top management on Demo Day. The winners get to do a paid POC with Maruti Suzuki and a chance to Go-To-Market together.
What all programs are there under Maruti Suzuki Innovation?
Maruti Suzuki Innovation comprises of the following programs –Pre-incubation Program (Maruti Suzuki Nurture), Incubation Program (Maruti Suzuki Incubation Program), Corporate Accelerator, Mobility Challenge and an Innovation Fund, with each having its own specific objective and benefits that are extended to the participating startups.
Which program is best suited for your startup?
The programs are carefully designed to cater to the entire spectrum of startups in the ecosystem.
Pre-incubation(Nurture) Program—Early idea stage startups (Domestic)
Incubation Program -- Idea Generation & Seed stage startups (Domestic)
Accelerator (MAIL) Program -- Early & Growth Stage startups (Domestic)
Mobility Challenge -- Mature Startups (Both domestic & international)
Is it only meant for startups in the Automobile sector?
No. Maruti Suzuki Innovation also supports complementing startups with technologies, solutions and services that might be used in the mobility & automobile space. Please mention your application and how you think your startup could contribute to this sector.
Does Maruti Suzuki Innovation charge a fee for its programs or any equity fee is involved?
Application to Maruti Suzuki Programs is free. Additionally, all Maruti Suzuki Innovation programs are equity free.
If a startup has applied in the past, can it apply again?
Sure, but to improve your chances of selection, do highlight any additional information of your progress since your previous application with specifics on how your idea can be applied to the Automobile and Mobility sector.
What do you look for in an applicant?
Founders are required to be committed to their idea full-time and must demonstrate the ability and entrepreneurial mindset to build and grow an organisation. While we love to work with startups with existing traction and customers, it is not a prerequisite for acceptance into any of the programs under Maruti Suzuki Innovation.
What do the startups get from the Maruti Suzuki Innovation ecosystem?
Qualifying startups receive guidance from Maruti Suzuki domain experts, mentors associated with domestic & international startup ecosystems, recognition with nationwide PR and access to the largest automotive testbed in the country.
